How telehealth works
ProtocolRx provides the technology used to collect your information and connect you with an independent physician. ProtocolRx does not practise medicine, diagnose conditions, or issue prescriptions.
Check your state and visit format
Select the state where you will be physically located during care and the therapy you are considering.
Before you begin
You provide the state where you are physically located, choose the therapy you want evaluated, complete identity verification, and submit a secure medical questionnaire. Depending on the therapy, you may also need current laboratory reports or other records.
Questionnaire and document review
Most non-controlled prescription requests begin through secure store-and-forward telemedicine. Your questionnaire, identity-verification result, medication history, allergies, photographs or laboratory documents, and consent records are sent to an independent physician licensed in your state.
When a live visit is required
Testosterone requests require a synchronous audiovisual visit before a prescription can be issued. For other therapies, the physician may require live video, telephone follow-up, additional records, laboratory testing, or an in-person examination based on state law and clinical judgment. If a required live visit is not completed, no prescription is issued and the order cannot be sent to a pharmacy.
The physician decides
The physician independently determines whether telehealth is appropriate, whether the available information is sufficient, and whether treatment is medically appropriate. The physician may decline the request or recommend a different treatment. ProtocolRx software organises information for review; it does not diagnose, select a treatment, or prescribe.
Payment and fulfillment
For a prescription request, your payment method is authorised but funds are not captured unless and until a physician issues a prescription. A pharmacy receives the prescription only after the clinical decision, payment capture, and a final state-and-product eligibility check. A prescription is never guaranteed.
